Dr. Rick Ganim holds a medical doctorate from the University of Texas Medical School
at Houston where he graduated with honors and is a member of the Alpha Omega
Alpha Honor Society. He earned his B.S. degree in combined sciences from Santa Clara
University. Dr. Ganim completed his Internal Medicine and Cardiology training at the
University of California Medical Center at Davis. He served as Chief Cardiology Fellow
during his Cardiology Fellowship. He then completed his Interventional Cardiology
training at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
Dr. Ganim is a very active Interventional Cardiologist in the Kingwood, Humble,
and Houston areas. Dr. Ganim is a partner with Cardiovascular Association. He is
currently Chief of Cardiovascular Medicine and Director of Cardiovascular Services at
Kingwood Medical Center. He also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine
at the University of Texas Medical School. Dr. Ganim was also recently awarded the
Physician's Choice Award at Kingwood Medical Center and the Lake Houston Chamber
of Commerce Healthcare Professional of the Year.
Dr. Ganim board certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular medicine, and
internal medicine. He specializes in coronary and peripheral interventions. Dr. Ganim has
had multiple journal publications. He is currently involved in multiple coronary artery
stent research trials and also drug therapy trials for various cardiovascular diseases.
